Community Guidelines
Welcome to the BlinkBond community! Our mission is to create a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone looking to make meaningful connections. These guidelines outline the behaviors and standards we expect from all members of our community.
Our Core Values: Respect, Safety, Authenticity, and Inclusivity
1. Be Authentic
- Real Identity: Use your real name and recent photos that clearly show your face. Verification is required for all accounts.
- Honest Representation: Be truthful about your age, interests, and intentions. Misrepresentation undermines trust in our community.
- One Account: Maintain only one account. Multiple accounts will be removed.
2. Respect Others
- Mutual Respect: Treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of whether you match or not.
- Consent Matters: Always respect others' boundaries and decisions, including if they decline to meet or continue communication.
- No Harassment: Do not send unwanted messages, make unwelcome advances, or engage in any form of harassment.
- Constructive Communication: Communicate in a constructive and respectful manner, even during disagreements.
3. Safety First
- Public Meetings: For initial meetings, choose public places with other people around.
- Share Your Plans: Let friends or family know about your meeting plans, including location and expected duration.
- Stay Sober: Maintain sobriety during initial meetings to ensure clear judgment.
- Trust Your Instincts: If something feels wrong, it probably is. Don't hesitate to leave a situation that makes you uncomfortable.
- Report Concerns: Report any suspicious or concerning behavior immediately through our in-app reporting system.
4. Prohibited Content & Behavior
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action, potentially including account termination:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or abusive behavior
- Hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or content that promotes bigotry
- Sexually explicit or pornographic material
- Solicitation, including requests for money, goods, or services
- Spam, scams, or deceptive practices
- Promotion of illegal activities
- Sharing others' private information without consent
- Impersonation of another person or entity
- Content that depicts or promotes violence
- Commercial solicitation or unauthorized advertising
5. Group Meetups
- Inclusive Environment: Ensure all group members feel welcome and included.
- Group Safety: Apply the same safety principles to group meetups as you would to individual meetings.
- Respect Group Dynamics: Be mindful of group conversations and avoid dominating discussions or excluding others.
6. 24-Hour Match Window
- Timely Response: Our unique 24-hour match window is designed to encourage meaningful connections. Respond to matches within this timeframe.
- Quality Over Quantity: Focus on quality interactions rather than accumulating matches.
- Respectful Closure: If you decide not to pursue a connection, communicate this respectfully before the match expires.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the in-app reporting feature (tap the three dots in the top right of any conversation and select "Report")
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Include screenshots or other evidence if available
- For urgent safety concerns, contact local authorities immediately
Our team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action based on the severity and nature of the violation.
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warnings
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to relevant authorities in cases involving illegal activity
The severity of the action depends on the nature and frequency of the violation, as well as the user's history.
Changes to Guidelines
These guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect new features, community needs, or emerging challenges. We will notify users of significant changes through the app and via email.
